Project requirements

Concrete openings for electrical & data services

Electrical and data installations may need concrete holes and openings for conduits and cable routes. Combine the opening schedule with current services information and access details.

Schedule conduit and cable openings

Send the opening size, quantity and location alongside the relevant services drawings. If the final layout is still being resolved, distinguish proposed positions from confirmed ones. The office can review the cutting or drilling method once the requirement and site information are clear.

Provide embedded-services investigation

Tell the office about reinforcement, post-tensioning and embedded-service information held by the project team. If investigation or location work is needed, identify it as a separate requirement. Do not treat a website enquiry or a marked photograph as clearance to cut.

Coordinate working height, isolation and access

Include room access, working height, building occupancy and any work-window restrictions. Explain who coordinates service isolation and approvals through the project’s normal process. Confirm whether section removal and making good sit with Quickcore or another party in the agreed scope.

Your enquiry checklist

  • Opening schedule and relevant services drawings
  • Known structural and embedded-services information
  • Working height and equipment-access route
  • Project coordination and work-window requirements

Send what you know and identify details still being confirmed. These guides help describe a project; the agreed site-specific scope determines the work.

Electrical & data projects FAQs

These answers help you prepare an enquiry. For requirements specific to your site, talk to the office.

Discuss your project
What should an electrical penetration schedule show?

List the finished opening size, quantity and location for each conduit or cable route. Reference the relevant drawing revision and identify wall or slab thickness, working height and any provisional positions.

Is concrete scanning automatically included before drilling?

Investigation is a separate scope item to identify. Share available reinforcement, post-tensioning and services records, along with investigation already completed. Confirm the method, coverage, reporting and project clearance requirements.

Who coordinates service isolation for electrical work?

Identify the project party coordinating isolation and permission to work. Include operating areas and working windows in the enquiry. A cutting or drilling quote does not establish that services are isolated.

Discuss your project with Quickcore.

Send the site address and what needs doing. The office reviews the scope and availability before a quote or booking is agreed.
