Mark concrete removal boundaries
Identify the concrete to be removed and the adjoining material that stays. Share available dimensions, drawings and information about the structure. A clear boundary gives the office a better basis for reviewing cutting, separation and demolition methods.
Allocate section support and lifting
Explain proposed section sizes, support and lifting arrangements through the project’s normal design and planning process. Identify who owns those tasks. Do not assume that a cutting enquiry includes a complete lifting or removal plan, equipment hire or structural design.
Plan the material-removal route
Send photographs and dimensions of the route from the work area to the removal point. Include floor levels, doors, restricted spaces and available staging areas. Clarify disposal, slurry handling and final reinstatement in the agreed scope.
Your enquiry checklist
- Removal boundaries and retained structure information
- Dimensions and material quantities
- Support/lifting responsibilities and project plan
- Material route, disposal and reinstatement scope
Send what you know and identify details still being confirmed. These guides help describe a project; the agreed site-specific scope determines the work.
