What is robotic concrete demolition?
Robotic demolition uses remotely operated specialist equipment for concrete breaking as part of a planned removal package. It can be considered where selective demolition, equipment positioning and coordination with the retained structure are central to the job.
Define what stays and what goes
Provide drawings or marked photos identifying the concrete to be removed and the adjoining structure to be retained. Include thicknesses and approximate quantities where known. Explain whether the work is a local alteration, a refurbishment stage or part of a larger demolition package.
Access includes the route to the work
A machine needs a suitable route to reach its operating position. Describe doorways, ramps, stairs, lifts, floor levels and turning space, as well as the work area itself. Provide available information about support, floor loading, services and site restrictions for the project review.
Common project requirements
- Planned concrete breaking
- Building refurbishment works
- Localised demolition packages
- Projects with specialist access requirements
What to send for a quote
- Photos and drawings of the area
- Material, approximate volume and thickness
- Access widths and floor-level constraints
- Support, isolation and debris-removal responsibilities
Don’t have every detail yet? Tell us what you know. The team can discuss what else is needed.
What affects pricing
- Material, thickness, approximate quantity and removal boundaries.
- Equipment access, floor levels, setup and work-area constraints.
- Separation cutting, support, debris handling, staging and mobilisation.
The office reviews these factors before scope and pricing are agreed. A requested date is subject to confirmed availability.
Planning the work
- Review the removal boundaries, structural information and equipment-access route.
- Confirm project responsibilities for support, service isolation, work-area controls and debris handling.
- Coordinate cutting or separation work with breaking, removal and the following trades.
Scope and responsibilities
Remote operation does not remove the need for a site-specific demolition plan. Equipment selection, structural constraints and debris removal must be reviewed for the job. No generic machine dimensions or production rate are assumed.
